Kim Williams
Kim Williams has been Chief Executive of FOXTEL since December 2001. He has had a long involvement in the arts and entertainment industry in Australia and internationally and has held various executive positions including as Chief Executive at each of Fox Studios Australia, the Australian Film Commission, Southern Star Entertainment and Musica Viva Australia and as a senior executive at the ABC.
Mr Williams has held numerous Board positions in commercial and public life over the last 35 years including as foundation Chairman of the Australian Film Finance Corporation which he founded in 1988 and most recently as the Chairman of the Sydney Opera House since 2005. He was appointed as a Member in the Order of Australia in June 2006. In October 2009 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters Honoris Causa by Macquarie University for his contribution to the arts and entertainment industry both in Australia and internationally.
