ASTRA participates in the Government and regulatory process by actively monitoring and contributing to dialogue surrounding policy and issues affecting the subscription television industry in Australia. ASTRA also develops the industry Codes of Practice with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
The ACMA is a statutory authority within the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. ACMA is responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the Internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications.
