This is the privacy statement of the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA). ASTRA is the peak body for the subscription television and radio industry in Australia, administering the ASTRA Codes of Practice containing privacy principles that reflect the National Privacy Principles as set out in Schedule 3 of the Privacy Act 1988.
ASTRA respects your privacy. ASTRA is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and manages personal information under its control in accordance with the National Privacy Principles as set out in Schedule 3 of the Privacy Act 1988.

Collecting your information
ASTRA collects the contact details of our members, as well as the contact details of people who contact us for information. We also collect the contact details of other people we do business with. We only use this business contact information for the business purpose for which it is collected.
We do not, as standard practice, collect personal information through our website. If for any reason we do collect personal information (such as your email address) through your use of our website, it will be collected and used for internal purposes only unless otherwise stated.

The personal information we collect is only used for the purposes for which it is collected. For example, when you contact us in order for us to provide you with information about ASTRA or answer a query you may have. You may provide us with your contact details.
