When I’m not at work I spend my time… Staying active, usually clocking up sea time sailing or entertaining at home giving the bbq a workout.
The person who most influenced my decisions in life when I was younger was… My father, he taught me to work hard but to stop and smell the roses along the way.
The last interesting book that I read was… Hell on High Seas – True stories of survival at sea, including a group of 4 who lived in the hull of an upturned catamaran for 130 days whilst drifting towards New Zealand. Teaches you how to catch fish with your own hands and how to cook a seagull. Very interesting facts.
My first job was…. Stocking the shelves at a newsagency in Melbourne, looking back on it “Slave labour”. I then graduated from the field of flogging Newspapers and Women’s Day to selling property where my marketing interests began.
My guiltiest pleasure is… A fine Coonawarra Shiraz, a cheese platter and magic sunset over the water. The guilt comes with the calories the pleasure comes with the moment.
At school, I was known for… My big hair. It was the 90s and I was sporting a hairdo which resembled a permed mullet. Amazing how times have changed. That hairdo these days would have won me bragging rights and pole position in the canteen line.
My favourite movie of all time is… Zoolander – So many great lines, “Derek Zoolander: Moisture is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty”
I know it’s not cool but I love… SingStar… Yep, I’m afraid so. Its even more sad when I pass up a night out with mates to belt out a tune to the neighbours delight.
The person I most admire is… One that gives their time to go out of their way to help others.
My friends say that I… Should get them another round while I’m at the bar.
My hope for the future is that… We can all live a meaningful and fulfilling life, oh and maybe a nice new shiny yacht to go with it.
