Simon Lake is the Chief Executive of Screenrights, a non-profit collecting society that collects royalties for owners of copyright in film and television.
Screenrights licenses over 5 million students in Australia and New Zealand. Screenrights licenses over 1.5 million pay TV subscribers to retransmit free to air broadcasts. Screenrights collects royalties from over 30 countries. Screenrights has over 3,600 members in 62 countries and had a turn over of $42 million in 2013/14.
Simon is also on the board of EnhanceTV a subsidiary company to Screenrights. EnhanceTV has a weekly e-newsletter that is used by over 30,000 teachers. Simon is on the board of the Copyright Council of Australia and New Zealand and was on the board of the Sydney Film Festival.
