When I’m not at work I spend my time…trying to explain the complexities of written English to my 6 year old son.
The person that most influenced my decisions in life when I was younger was…my father who advised me to turn my passions into a career. I’ve always been passionate about TV so here I am.
The last interesting book that I read was…“More Please” a Barry Humphries autobiography. I picked it up second hand at the Narrabeen boot sale a few weeks back. I read it with a dictionary by my side; he manages to be both high and lowbrow at the same time, often in the same sentence.
My first job was…in the mailroom at Film Australia.
My guiltiest pleasure is…chocolate milkshakes in silver cups, usually purchased from corner stores.
At school, I was known for…being able to walk really quickly.
My favourite movie of all time is…Picnic at Hanging Rock. It left a lasting impression on me and I try and reacquaint myself with Miranda and friends on an annual basis.
I know it’s not cool but I love…Hall and Oates. I’m addicted to karaoke and even though I’ve murdered ‘Man-eater’ hundreds of times I keep coming back for more.
One of my favourite series on STV is…‘Fashion Police’ on E!. I love Joan Rivers. I can’t believe she gets away with it.
The person I most admire is…SpongeBob. He is my role model for unshakeable optimism.
My friends say that I…never call.
My hope for the future is…that I can find a salesperson who can sell me a television. In recent weeks I’ve tried three times to buy a new TV though am yet to find someone who can explain the difference in the 50+ showroom sets other than the size of the screen.
